AUSTRALIAN NATIVE HERRINGBONE| HURFORD’S
The natural feel of Australian Native engineered flooring is also available in a Herringbone pattern. Available in two iconic species; Blackbutt and Spotted Gum, Australian Native comes pre-finished and features a micro bevel edge profile. It has a modern matte smooth surface to achieve a floor that’s earthy and effortless.
Consistent in quality and structural stability, Australian Native Herringbone is constructed using a low shrinkage, eco friendly Hevea core and a tough Australian hardwood lamella. The Herringbone option is a tongue and groove locking system which allows boards to lock together simplifying the installation process whilst providing extra stability.
Utilising the latest in environmentally friendly UV coatings, the 6-coat system delivers a floor finish similar to a stylish oiled floor but with the durability and protection a UV lacquer offers. Hurford’s Australian Native Engineered Hardwood Flooring is produced with the knowledge and experience of three generations of processing and drying Australia’s unique Spruce. Hurford’s superior kiln drying processes help to minimise lamella movement, preventing potential stability issues like twisting, cupping and checking.

The innovative layered construction of engineered flooring makes for an extremely durable and stable product compared to traditional solid flooring which is made from a single solid piece of wood. Australian Native is constructed with a Hevea core material and has a 4mm wear layer of Australian Hardwood species as the lamella, this makes each board less likely to warp or buckle with changes in temperature and humidity.Tongue & Groove Locking System
A tongue & groove locking system allows boards to go together seamlessly. It simplifies the whole installation process allowing boards extra stability and adds to the overall durability and aesthetic. It is a preferred installation method by most flooring installers.Sustainability
Australian Native is an engineered floor that is manufactured using a low shrinkage and eco-friendly Hevea as the core material and a tough Australian hardwood lamella for the wear layer. This layered construction produces a product that has less of an impact on the environment unlike solid flooring as a much smaller amount of timber is used, resulting in less harvesting of precious resources.Bona UV Lacquer System
Utilising the latest in environmentally friendly UV coatings, our Bona lacquer system delivers a floor finish similar to a stylish oiled floor but with the durability and protection a UV lacquer offers. A transparent finish promotes the natural beauty of the timber species and is extremely high wear and scratch resistant. -
