Hurford’s HUSHwalk underlay has been designed to be installed under our engineered flooring ranges. HUSHwalk is a closed-cell underlay that prevents the flattening out seen in some open-cell foams. Retaining the shape prevents flooring movement and damage to clip lock joints, making for more effective sound control.

HUSHwalk is a premium underlay, it is denser and much quieter under foot. It is ideal for commercial projects such as apartment buildings. It is easy to handle at 2mm thick x 1m wide in convenient 25m2 rolls. It is a closed cell foam with a moisture barrier, the PE film and IXPE (Irradiation cross linked polyolefin foam) act together as a moisture barrier. HUSHwalk has a slightly thinner film, due to the much higher density of the IXPE foam layer. It has superior thermal stability and is environmentally friendly, no CFC or HCFC’s. A product that is easy to install with lay flat polymers and double-sided tape for joining.
